VCinfoBot is the crawler of VCinfo, an investor graph of venture capital firms, corporate venture arms and accelerators. It reads the public pages of investment firms, such as their portfolio, team and about pages, and checks whether the sites of portfolio companies are reachable.
How it identifies itself: VCinfoBot/1.0 (+https://vcinfo.io/bot)
How it behaves: It follows robots.txt, requests about one page per second from a site, and does not try to get past bot protection.
What it does not collect: Personal email addresses.
To block it, add this to your robots.txt:
